The Zoho Workdrive Extension allows users to collaborate on client-related documents and files stored in Workdrive from within Zoho CRM. This allows users to manage all their files without having to navigate back to Workdrive.
Upon installation, the extension creates a Team folder and 3 sub folders (Accounts, Contacts, Deals) in Workdrive. Whenever a file or folder is added within a record in CRM (Account, Contact, Deal), it creates a sub folder with the name of the record, and uploads the file or folder onto Workdrive.
Key Features:
Add one or more files from within the Workdrive related list.
Search for Workdrive files or folders using the name.
Delete Workdrive files or folders, and download files by selecting them.
Preview files from within the related list, and view the contents of sub folders.
Loved it for about 8 months until it crashed and had to be reinstalled. Now We can't link our Workdrive back to our CRM because the developer hasn't returned four of the emails sent to him over the last week and Zoho Workdrive support helped for a second but unfortunately hasn't responded to our last email for help. We use the extension every day too, we can't afford to have to reinstall and manually connect the case or deal back to the drive everything happens.
Been susing this for a long time. Something happened and it stopped working. I uninstalled the extension and re-installed and now it is working again, however all the folders & files we had originally created got wiped out and we lost everything. Stay away from this, it will break your heart.
Hi there, thanks for your review. We've just started using the extension and you've made me very nervous! Can you tell me how you lost your files? My understanding was that even if the extension failed, we could still access the files directly through workdrive.
Hi team, I could not configure it with the right account. I have two accounts available in Workdrive and during the configuration I was not able to select the account. The system chose to work with the account that was not the one I wanted to select...
Integration does not work as indicated. Worked for the first month, then just stopped - completely unreliable. We have been unable to upload any files or folders to Workdrive from CRM for months. We should have stuck with using Google Drive as it seems to integrate better than Workdrive does. Have been talking to Zoho support over several messages, screen recordings and even virtual assist calls here, maybe posting this review will finally resolve this issue for us.
Seems to work quite well, does exactly what it says very efficiently. I do wish there was some ability to alter what folders were available in each module. Example: We would like to have a single Company folder that showed for each company, deal, and contact rather than separate folders for each. However, it is a great tool that I'm glad we have found.
Works ok in fairness as its free but has some limitations. One question, where is creates folders for leads, deals, Contacts and Accounts, if you add a doc when its a lead, what happens when converted to a contact, doe the files moves to the contacts folder in workdrive or stay in leads?
this is a great extension but we seem to be having issues when trying to click on the icon in the top right to go directly to the folder in workdrive. we get a chrome error that states that accounts.zoho.com and then workdrive.zoho.com tried to redirect too many times. If I hit enter (after all the attempted redirects) it will open the folder. Also it would be nice to have lead files move to a contact/account/deal folder (user can specify) once you convert the lead
It's neat, but with the folder creation not being configurable it's difficult to work around. Would be nice if I could just tell it how I'd want it to create the folders
We are jus begining with it. So far, I feel like this is gonna be great and really helpfull for our company. We are big Zoho fans so I guess this should go well. We let you know the results soon. I do have one question in mind... Is Workdrive ever going to integrated in the CRM Iphone app? I would love if my collegues on the move could add pictures of a clients site directly to the client's workdrive in the CRM. Because if the file is not already create, you cannot select the client's folder you want this attached too. Maybe there is another way that I can't see right now... I would gladly appreciate some help with this :-) Other then that, can't wait to dig more in Workdrive. Thanks :-) (Jean-Sebastien Dufault)
Your integration is bugged and we can't use it. The contact guy who created it doesn't answer and you guys are not helping. Zoho One without a NATIVE connection to his Workdrive is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!
The extension creates folders you cannot access from the Zoho drive application on your desktop, which means that the folders created are inaccessible when you want to save a document. Its almost a great extension but if the folders it creates cannot be accessed - then it's useless
This extension seemed to work ok, but after I installed it I realized it does not sync files from the Vendor module, which was coincidentally the one I was most interested in! I probably should have read the description more thoroughly.
